Skiing in Dolomites

Italy's north-east is dominated by the Dolomites (Dolomiti), an extensive range of impressively jagged peaks. This area, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region and the neighbouring Veneto, is close to the Austrian border, and there is a strong German / Austrian influence throughout. When it comes to skiing, Italy offers just as much, if not more, than many other European or North American ski vacation destinations. The Dolomites mountain range offers some of the most breathtaking views and you can enjoy them from just about anywhere. If you are going to ski in Italy, Dolomites is where you can find the best action at the lowest rates as well as perfect slopes for all levels, cross country circuits, impressive ice stadiums and some of the most beautiful ski mountaineering itineraries in the Alps.
